This is a unique opportunity to lead the development and implementation of an innovative clinical Model of Care for young people aged 18–25.
About the RoleThe Director will be responsible for driving the implementation of a best-practice Model of Care for older youth, providing strategic and operational leadership across all older youth clinical teams, overseeing clinical governance and quality outcomes for this service stream, collaborating across disciplines to ensure consumer-centred, evidence-based care, and leading service development and continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a best-practice Model of Care for older youth
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to older youth clinical teams
- Oversee clinical governance and quality outcomes for this service stream
- Collaborate across disciplines to ensure consumer-centred, evidence-based care
- Lead service development and continuous improvement initiatives
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery or equivalent qualification, Fellowship of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) or equivalent, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), minimum of 6 years' clinical experience in mental health, significant leadership exposure, proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive service transformation, and experience working within Area Mental Health & Wellbeing Services.
