Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Dandenong South. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance activities, troubleshooting issues, and developing detailed knowledge of the production process and plant equipment.
This is a temp-to-perm position with a competitive hourly rate and opportunities for career progression. You will work on a rotating roster, including days and nights, and will have access to ongoing training and professional development.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have experience as a fitter/machinist, hold a LF licence, and have worked in a manufacturing environment. You must also be able to pass a police check and medical, and have reliable transport to and from site.
Responsibilities:- Perform mechanical maintenance activities, including breakdown, preventive, planned and unscheduled work
- Troubleshoot issues and develop solutions
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of the production process and plant equipment
- Support achievement of maintenance KPIs
- Work with our CMMS for maintenance scheduling, execution and record keeping
- Assist with continuous improvement of the plant, including project work
- Experience as a fitter/machinist
- LF licence
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to pass a police check and medical
- Reliable transport to and from site
