We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our high-achieving service team. This role involves providing expert technical support to customers, ensuring the smooth operation of Metso Mineral Processing Analytical Equipment.

About the Job
  • Perform on-site inspections and maintenance work on Metso equipment at customer sites worldwide.
  • Provide technical liaison services between customers, product divisions and sales personnel.
  • Analyse equipment failures and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Supervise projects on customer sites and ensure timely completion.
  • Escalate questions and analysis to Technical Support and Engineering teams.
  • Prepare comprehensive site visit reports, time sheets and expenses after each visit.

This is a challenging role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Programmable Logic Controller & Distributed Control Systems experience advantageous.
  • High-level fault-finding aptitude.
  • Intermediate computer literacy in MS Office – Word and Excel.
  • Current motor vehicle license required.
  • Physically fit and able to pass random medical and drug tests.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
  • Ability to work away from home for extended periods and hours, on weekends or as required.
  • Clearly understand and competency in Risk management and safety rule compliance.
