Risk Management Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Liability Risk Adviser to join our team at AU047 JLT Risk Solutions PTY LTD. As a key member of our liability team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to our clients on risk management and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Scheme Manager in delivering LGAMLS KPIs and other key objectives
- Assist with the production and delivery of quarterly LGA SA Mutual Board reports and other Board-related documentation
- Monitor the Local Government Legal and Regulatory Compliance environment
- Support the LGA in managing specific risk and/or LGAMLS funded projects
- Contribute to the development of programs and projects to minimize and manage liability claims
- Target information and training needs of Members and provide assistance via LGAMLS Forums and workshops
- Participate in Council/Member risk profiling performance
- Assist and support the sector, Councils, and Members to develop and implement risk profile and mitigation strategies
Requirements:
- Experience working with Local/State government across Risk, Governance, and strategy would be an advantage
- Experience working within a big 4 consulting firm would be an advantage (risk advisory, internal controls, and/or regulatory compliance)
- Degree in Law/Risk & Governance or equivalent would be an advantage
- Excellent relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders and clients
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Ability to travel to metropolitan and regional locations as required
- Valid driver license
