Chief Information Officer, Digital Health and Innovation

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Information Officer to lead our digital health and innovation efforts. Reporting directly to the CEO, this key role will be accountable for the development, implementation, adoption, optimisation, and management of digital initiatives across SA Health that align with the strategic vision and objectives of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement digital business strategies to improve efficiencies in the provision of patient care and overall organisational efficiency.
- Participate as a member of the SA Health Executive Leadership team and work with departments in the management of clinical information systems, corporate systems and patient management systems.
- Champion digital innovations to enable operational effectiveness, coordinate programs to assure technology operations and cyber security, and ensure continual improvement of digital health capability.
The successful appointee will have experience of, or strong working knowledge of digital systems within Australian healthcare clinical settings. Proven high-level interpersonal and communication skills will be essential, combined with a demonstrated ability to apply sound analytical skills and strategic thinking to drive and implement change.
A relevant tertiary qualification in a field such as health, economics, business management, technology management, or computer science is essential. Senior management or executive experience in public health at a state or national level would be advantageous.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is $200,000 - $250,000 per annum, plus superannuation and benefits.
This is a full-time position, up to 3 years, offering a competitive salary and benefits package. As an employee of SA Health, you will also have access to a range of other benefits, including flexible working arrangements and professional development opportunities.
