About the Role

Kingfisher Bay Resort, located on the stunning Fraser Island, is seeking a dedicated individual for a Permanent Part-Time Housekeeping Attendant position. The resort offers a unique opportunity to work in an eco-friendly environment while providing exceptional guest experiences.

This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guest accommodation, working across a broad 7-day rostering system 4/5 days a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing thorough cleaning tasks, ensuring all resort areas are consistently clean and orderly, and adhering to strict safety and hygiene standards.

The ideal candidate will have previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication and customer service skills. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry cleaning equipment and supplies are also essential. A commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation is required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough cleaning tasks in guest rooms, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing amenities.
  • Ensure all resort areas are consistently clean and orderly, including public spaces, corridors, and common areas.
  • Adhere to strict safety and hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and team members.
  • Handle and report lost and found items following resort policies.
  • Assist guests with requests and inquiries in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient room turnovers and cleaning of public areas.
  • Promptly report maintenance issues and damages for resolution.
  • Follow established procedures for waste disposal.

Qualifications
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
  • A commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
