About the Role

You will support inpatients of a pediatric hospital receiving treatment or attending an outpatient clinic for treatment or follow up care.

Therapy is often about supporting adjustment to a medical condition, and support for existing developmental, behavioral or psychological concerns complicating recovery from a health issue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children and families through cancer care as part of a dedicated psychosocial team
  • Work with various medical teams within a children's hospital
  • Collaborate with other skilled medical staff and allied health clinicians
  • Determine the best timing for therapy during an extended and at times intensive treatment protocol for serious illness
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Psychologist with a national regulatory agency
  • Completion of a postgraduate clinical psychology qualification accredited by a national accreditation council
About You

You will enjoy working in a team environment, working with young people across the age span from toddlers and their caregivers to adolescents.

You will need to be able to determine the best timing for therapy during an extended and at times intensive treatment protocol for serious illness.
