
Mental Health Recovery Specialist

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team supporting consumers with low to moderate mental health needs.
The 12-week program uses a goal-based recovery model and is adaptable to consumer-led pace.
You will engage with consumers through the structured program, providing generalized and short-term supports to help build resilience and stay engaged with their recovery.
Key responsibilities- Conduct initial assessments and engage with consumers weekly
- Facilitate recovery planning using the Recovery STAR framework to identify goals and break down necessary support
- Provide ongoing community-based support with a transition-based approach
- Collaborate closely with external clinical teams to provide monthly summaries, attend meetings, and adjust care plans as necessary
- Minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health or Community Services
- Current full driver's license
- A commitment to mental health recovery and ability to use strengths-based approaches to empower consumers
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with clients and collaborate with external teams
- Risk assessment skills to ensure client safety and well-being
