Senior Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our Risk Assurance and Advisory team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives within Commodities Global Markets Finance and lead the Finance Assurance (deep-dive testing) portfolio.
You will collaborate with key stakeholders in the Financial Management, Commodities and Global Markets and Risk Management Group to drive the implementation of high-profile initiatives and gain exposure to senior leaders in Macquarie. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing valuable insights and recommendations to our stakeholders in relation to the ongoing compliance with our policies, standards and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Finance Assurance (deep-dive testing) portfolio and drive continuous improvement initiatives within Commodities Global Markets Finance.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in the Financial Management, Commodities and Global Markets and Risk Management Group to drive the implementation of high-profile initiatives.
- Provide valuable insights and recommendations to our stakeholders in relation to the ongoing compliance with our policies, standards and frameworks.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders in Macquarie.
- Chartered accountant background with 7+ years experience in a Financial Institution.
- Strong understanding of activities within a Finance function in a Financial Institution.
- Experience in Risk and Control Advisory and Governance roles, or internal audit, controls based external audit or similar assurance roles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and strong stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrates curiosity, the ability to challenge the status quo, willingness to learn and high attention to detail.
- Experience with memo and report writing to senior audiences.
- Ability to think laterally, problem solve and grasp abstract concepts and complex situations.
