About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our kitchen team as a Senior Kitchen Specialist.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where quality and creativity are at the heart of everything we do.

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standard in your designated section.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment in line with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Support the wider kitchen team during busy service periods.
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste.
  • Train, guide, and supervise junior staff members.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new menu ideas and specials.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in a senior kitchen role or above.
  • Chef trade qualification (essential).
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with a multicultural diverse team.
  • Flexible to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and WH&S standards.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a 4- or 5-star hotel or restaurant.
  • Ability to work unrestricted in Australia – full working rights.
  • Be able to lift, push, and pull large objects up to 50lbs (23 kg), bend, and kneel.
  • Good reading, writing, and basic maths skills.
