Global Mobility Tax Specialist

KPMG's Global Mobility Services (GMS) Advisory team offers innovative solutions to navigate cross-border tax and immigration challenges across multiple jurisdictions.

We collaborate with clients to design global tax strategies, expatriate payroll compliance policies, risk management frameworks, and immigration plans, delivering value-added insights and comprehensive support.

Our US-Australia Tax Advisory Services team partners with multinational organisations and their executives, start-ups, and individuals to structure business and investment holdings, mitigate double taxation, and ensure global compliance.

As a Global Mobility Tax Specialist, you will apply your expertise to help clients navigate the intricate requirements of Australian and US tax legislation. You will work closely with high-net-worth clients, family offices, and privately owned businesses across various industries, providing actionable insights and tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing tax advisory and compliance services to clients with cross-border tax considerations, focusing on Australian and US tax matters.
  • Assisting clients in navigating cross-border tax issues, including identifying Australian tax residency considerations and their implications for personal and business tax matters.
  • Applying professional expertise in Australian and US tax legislation and regulations in cross-border contexts to provide compliant solutions.
  • Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reliability of tax forms and schedules submitted to tax authorities.
  • Supporting team leads in delivering US and Australian tax services for clients operating in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Staying updated on relevant tax regulations and providing timely guidance to clients on legislative changes impacting cross-border taxation.
