Senior Grid Connection Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Grid Connection Project Manager to join our team in Melbourne. As part of a dynamic group, you will primarily focus on developing and delivering grid connection projects.

This is an exciting time for the energy sector as the market continues to grow. Grid connection is becoming a critical area where proponents seek specialized grid connection and network planning services across various life cycles.

As a Senior Grid Connection Project Manager, you will lead, guide, and mentor a team of Power Systems Engineers working on challenging grid connection projects with emerging technologies.

The role involves advising, reviewing, and guiding engineers on grid interconnection and system planning studies for grid scale wind, solar, energy storage, and hybrid generating systems.

You will also support proponents negotiating performance standards with AEMO and network service providers, and support key clients with stakeholder management during studies and due diligence processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver grid connection projects
  • Lead and mentor a team of Power Systems Engineers
  • Advising, reviewing, and guiding engineers on grid interconnection and system planning studies
  • Negotiating performance standards with AEMO and network service providers
  • Supporting key clients with stakeholder management during studies and due diligence processes

About You:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in project management and team leadership
  • Strong understanding of grid connection and network planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
