Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Casual Chef to join our team at Accor. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior chefs to maintain high food standards and ensure guest expectations are met.
  • Demonstrate expertise in preparation and cooking techniques, and maintain the quality of dishes at all stages.
  • Contribute to kitchen operations, including maintenance, mise en place, and service, while adhering to guidance and direction.
  • Follow established guidelines for food safety and handling, and ensure appropriate stock rotation and monitoring.
  • Assist with food costing and control, and contribute to aspects of kitchen presentation.

Requirements

  • Trade cooking qualifications are essential, and experience in a commercial cookery environment is preferred.
  • A respectful and professional approach to work and teamwork is required, along with a passion for food and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to adapt, show resilience, and maintain high standards under pressure, with attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical fitness to perform role-related tasks, including working on your feet, heavy lifting, and movement of goods.
  • Understanding of safe work practices and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Working Conditions

This role will require flexible availability, with mostly night work from 2pm-10pm, although occasional lunch and breakfast service may be required.
