About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Food Services Assistant in a hospital setting. As a key member of our food services team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care through exceptional food service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients, and patients
  • Deliver, serve, and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
  • Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
  • Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital and industry food safety and hygiene standards
  • Provide a high standard of cleaning services
  • Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy and procedures

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience in hospital or hotel cleaning
  • Time management skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Current Food Processing Certificate Level 1 (working towards or willing to attain)
  • Prior experience in healthcare food services
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including early and late shifts, and weekends
