About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Perth, WA. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading provider of multidisciplinary construction, maintenance, and industrial services to the resources, energy, and infrastructure sectors.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive engineering support to projects, including tasks such as reviewing scope of works, compiling estimates, and organizing project resources. They will also be required to provide technical advice to supervision and project staff, and identify hazards and advise on safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing Scope of Works: Review and analyze project scope, drawings, specifications, and requirements.
  • Estimate Compilation: Compile detailed estimates using first principles and bottom-up techniques.
  • Electrical Norm Validation: Validate electrical norms, standards, and regulations.
  • Work Pack Development: Develop and manage work packs, including estimating, scoping, tendering, planning, scheduling, and executing the scope of work.
  • Project Resource Management: Organize project resources, equipment, and materials/procurement to meet project or contractual requirements.
  • Technical Advice: Provide technical advice, guidance, and support to supervision and project staff involved in the execution of work.
  • Documentation: Qualitative documentation, including Inspection Test Reports (ITRs) and Instructional Technical Procedures (ITPs).
  • Safety: Identify hazards and advise on safety procedures, actively monitor work practices to ensure adherence to correct procedures and standards for safety and environmental performance.

About You:

  • Experience: Previous experience working in an electrical engineering position, preferably in the mining sector.
  • Estimating Experience: Prior experience with estimating within the electrical space is highly desirable.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven experience developing project/construction schedules, work packs, and progress reports.
  • Technical Skills: Strong written and technical skills, with a demonstrated capability in commercials, budgets, construction metrics, and change management.
  • Education: Tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline.
  • Australian Work Visa: Proof of right to work in Australia with no restrictions.
  • FIFO Roster: Ability to do site visits and work a FIFO roster when needed.

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
