Residential Construction Draftsperson Needed

Job Description

Our client is a leading residential builder known for shaping contemporary, community-focused homes across Melbourne. We are looking for a skilled Draftsperson to join their drafting team.

The ideal candidate will have strong ArchiCAD proficiency and a solid understanding of residential construction. They will be responsible for producing accurate documentation, coordinating with consultants, and offering design and efficiency suggestions to support better project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete all allocated drafting tasks within agreed deadlines, proactively resolving drafting matters with your manager.
  • Commission reports and technical information with external consultants and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending innovative building methods or materials for cost or quality advantages.
  • Liaise with the team to ensure designs meet compliance, functionality, and aesthetic standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Advanced ArchiCAD skills with demonstrated experience in residential drafting.
  • At least 5 years' experience in the residential housing and construction industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in preparing construction documentation.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Drafting and/or Design highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to work independently and within a team to meet deadlines and resolve technical issues.
