Job Overview

The role of a Merchandise Planner involves developing strategic plans, forecasts and parameters to drive sales, profit and sell through. This position will be responsible for planning seasonal and promotional offers across various categories within General Merchandise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop plans and obtain signoff for seasonal and promotional events
  • Analyse store, article and segment performance to generate DC orders and store level allocations
  • Generate sell through and tracking reports
  • Ensure trade promotions have a clean exit position within financial forecasts
  • Support buyers with ad-hoc analysis

Requirements

We are seeking an individual with 3 years previous experience as a Merchandise Planner, preferably in General Merchandise. The ideal candidate should have:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Team player with excellent collaboration skills
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills, including knowledge of merchandise reporting systems like WBI and Google Sheets
