This includes investing in our risk, compliance, and assurance capabilities. The Trading Compliance Lead will play a crucial role in supporting the Trading & Transition business unit in developing and improving their control environment.

The role involves:

  • Obligation Management: Working with T&T Obligation Owners to understand and manage their allocated obligations
  • Risk Management: Assisting Obligation Owners to identify and assess potential compliance risks in processes, systems, and business activities
  • Process documentation: Collaborating with Obligation Owners and Control Owners to document end-to-end processes, identify controls, and drive continuous improvement of business processes
  • Controls Management: Assessing existing controls to ensure they remain relevant, complete, and effective in addressing compliance risks
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitoring compliance performance, coordinating incident management activities, and managing the T&T compliance governance forum

This position appeals to a seasoned Risk & Compliance professional with experience in highly regulated environments. We require candidates with:

  • Degree qualifications in Law, Commerce, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
  • A strong ability to interpret, review, and translate complex regulatory requirements into practical applications
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation
  • Superior critical thinking to evaluate controls, identify risks, and potential failure points in business processes
