Senior Business Development Officer

We are seeking an experienced senior officer to lead change in our business experience.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for economic development and business support programs, with expertise in enhancing economic development programs, identifying strengths and gaps, and evolving marketing strategies for local businesses and shopping precincts.

This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to drive strategic transformation by aligning staff, stakeholders, and partners with new economic development priorities and service models, and facilitating clear communication and engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Enhancing economic development programs
  • Identifying strengths and gaps
  • Evolving marketing strategies for local businesses and shopping precincts
  • Working closely with officers, senior leadership, Councillors, and external stakeholders

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic transformation, building understanding and commitment, and upholding our current business models, benchmarking successful examples, and streamlining processes for businesses.

This is a key role that will play a vital part in shaping the future of our local economy and business strategy.
