With a portfolio that includes Bendigo TAFE, Kangan Institute, VETASSESS and e Works, BKI plays a critical role in enabling economic mobility and inclusive communities through education, assessment, and industry partnerships.
Its ambitious 2025–2030 strategy, Growth for Impact, aims to double student commencements, expand skills assessments, and lead the sector in ESG, digital transformation and AI-enabled learning.
About the CEO Role Reporting to a committed and visionary Board, the Chief Executive Officer will lead the organisation through its next chapter of strategic growth and transformation.
With approximately 1,500 staff across 20 locations and a combined operational, capital and project budget nearing $370 million, this role demands a CEO who can scale innovation, ensure financial and operational sustainability, and cultivate an inclusive and values-driven culture.
This includes overseeing major infrastructure projects such as new campuses in Melton and Sunbury, Victoria's largest Tech School in Broadmeadows, and partnerships in international education and AI-led assessment.
The CEO will also serve as a key advocate across government, industry, and community stakeholders - locally and globally.
About You You are a seasoned executive leader with a strong track record in public sector - education, skills, or adjacent complex service environments.
You bring experience navigating government relations, regulatory complexity, and large-scale transformation.
With a deep understanding of digital enablement and workforce development, you are also a values-led leader who prioritises equity, cultural inclusion, and sustainability.
You're strategic, people-focused, commercially astute, and confident working with a high-performing Board and leadership team.
You're motivated by not just delivering on metrics – but by building something with lasting public value.
