About the Role
  • This role is accountable for ensuring that all systems related to the planning, delivery, and performance management of the Annual Integrated Works Program are managed appropriately across the Region.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Area Delivery Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Regional Delivery team to ensure continuous, safe, and effective delivery of regional capital and maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To lead and manage the prudent, safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery (from scope confirmation to commissioning and handover) of Sydney Water's TOTEX optimised delivery program
    - Solve problems, manage risk, and remediate issues for all projects to achieve successful execution
    - Effectively manage operational issues to ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, legislation, and regulations
    - Lead collaborative working between Sydney Water and its supply chain partners and the successful operation of the Partnering for Success Model across the organisation
    - Provide robust and effective management of all asset infrastructure projects, so that each is appropriately governed and aligned with the business case, Sydney Water Strategy, and NEC4 contract management practices
    - Work collaboratively across Sydney Water and with the Regional Delivery Consortia, to lead the development of the optimised Annual Integrated Works Program across all the region, ensuring alignment with Sydney Water's strategic and operational goals.
    - Lead the implementation of the Partnering for Success model, driving efficiencies and increasing value through the new sourcing, contract, and delivery approach, and successfully meeting the outcomes of the new model.
About You
  • A Degree qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commerce, or experience deemed equivalent.

You will need to have a strong background in project management, with experience in delivering complex projects within the infrastructure/utilities sectors. You will also need to have excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
