We have an exciting opportunity to join DCCEEW as a Senior Communications Advisor in an ongoing capacity

The Senior Communications Advisor will provide communications support to the Water Group. You will join a supportive team of experienced professionals who are working on numerous projects across water. You will lead the development and delivery of communications and engagement plans, working in collaboration with our incredible subject matter experts and media and engagement colleagues.

The role also works in collaboration with internal partners, including Water project managers and other members of the Water Communications Media and Engagement branch to design, plan, deliver and evaluate communications strategies that facilitate engagement with community and stakeholders.

About You

We are seeking someone who has demonstrated skills and experience in:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of communication and engagement strategies and activities in support of complex water projects, programs and policies.
  • Developing communication materials to execute over a range of channels when required.
  • Advising, and working closely with, program/projects teams to deliver positive communications and engagement outcomes in line with departmental policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications or other related discipline and/or relevant equivalent experience.
