We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting people with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide direct support to individuals with disabilities, assisting them with daily living tasks, personal care, and access to community activities. You will work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement personalized support plans that cater to the unique needs of each individual.
Key Responsibilities- Providing person-centered support to individuals with disabilities
- Assisting with daily living tasks, such as domestic chores, personal care, and medication management
- Supporting individuals to access community activities, including leisure pursuits and social events
- Developing and implementing personalized support plans in collaboration with other professionals
- Working collaboratively with family members and carers to ensure consistency and continuity of support
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A high school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with people with disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
