We are seeking an experienced Surgical Instrument Technician to join our team at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.
About the Role:
This is a permanent full-time opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to provide high-quality reprocessing services for surgical instruments. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to ensure efficient and effective processing of instruments, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- To effectively clean and process a wide range of surgical instruments, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- To prevent the transmission of healthcare-associated infections and minimize infection control risks through vigilant maintenance of equipment and adherence to best practices.
- To maintain accurate records of instrument processing and participate in quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- To collaborate with other teams to resolve instrument-related issues and optimize workflow efficiency.
About You:
We are looking for an individual with a strong background in sterilization services, possessing excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. You will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and ability to work independently. A Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or equivalent qualification is highly regarded.
