About this role

At Urbis, we're passionate about creating meaningful, sustainable cities and communities. We're seeking a talented Consultant to join our Transport Advisory team in Brisbane.

As a key member of our team, you'll develop a strong understanding of traffic engineering in the context of urban and regional transport systems. You'll provide expert advice on traffic engineering assessment and design, freight and logistics, and development impacts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a range of services, including advice on traffic engineering, land use/transport integration, approval processes, and management.
  • Applying traffic engineering and management principles to provide expert advice on land use/transport planning, transport network design, due diligence assessments, master plans, and the approval process.
  • Supporting the delivery of strategic transport advisory projects and national initiatives.
  • Developing a strong technical and management background to support the Transport Advisory team.
  • Identifying opportunities to engage and work collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines and business units across Urbis and Cistri.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transport Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience, ideally gained in a consultancy environment.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop team members.
  • Proven track record of delivering and managing transport projects, preferably in Queensland.
