Job Title: Facilities and Maintenance Manager We are seeking a self-motivated Facilities and Maintenance Manager to join our team in Canberra. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operational implementation of our Estate Upkeep maintenance services, providing support to the Service Delivery Manager. Key Responsibilities:• Service delivery of tradespeople and subcontractors across the base services area sites.• Preparation and scheduling of performance-based and responsive maintenance works.• Provide support with the delivery of facilities maintenance services to Defence properties throughout the ACT region.• Establish and maintain effective customer relationships and achieve the highest level of safety. Required Skills and Qualifications:- Extensive experience in a similar leadership role within the commercial building industry or industrial maintenance sector.- Trade qualifications in an Electrical, Mechanical, Building or Plumbing discipline.- Experience and proven ability in the provision of advice to management, clients, tradespeople, and subcontractors.- Knowledge of statutory obligations, Codes of practice, and Building Code of Australia.- Ability to lead, support, and mentor teams with strong written and verbal communication skills. Benefits:- Training and development opportunities to support your career.- Internally mobile options across the Downer Group business.- Affordable healthcare covers, discounted car purchase and rental (with selected brands), and other retail discounts.- An Employee Assistance Program providing access to professionals to support you (and your family) to achieve your personal or professional goals through wellbeing coaching, counselling, financial advice, legal advice, and more.
