Job Description

The Field Service Technician is an essential role in delivering exceptional outcomes for clients. We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to provide vital combustion knowledge support while prioritizing an environmentally conscious approach.

This is a unique opportunity to work on industry-changing technology, reducing GHG emissions and leachate volume at landfills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate, service, troubleshoot and repair submerged combustion units and associated systems;
  • Apply combustion knowledge to ensure optimal burner and furnace performance;
  • Work with advanced control units;
  • Attend to breakdowns when needed (often handled remotely);
  • Carry out repairs and adjustments on components such as burners, valves, sensors, and control systems;
  • Liaise with clients and third-party contacts;
  • Maintain detailed, accurate documentation in accordance with workshop guidelines;
  • Support the team with R&D, design, and continuous improvement of niche technologies.
About You

We are looking for someone who cares about the quality of their work and its impact, with a strong mechanical and/or electrical background and minimum 2 years' combustion experience.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Mechanical and/or Electrical qualification and/or experience;
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities;
  • Operation and maintenance of burners, furnaces or other combustion equipment;
  • Sound understanding of good workshop practices and commitment to safe working practices;
  • Physical fitness and ability to complete work in isolated or remote outdoor locations;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Open driver's license and passport;
  • First aid, WAH, EWP, Confined Space and White Card desirable but not essential.
