High-Performance Fiber Optic Engineer

Job Opportunity:
Our organization is seeking a highly skilled engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge Fiber Optic Gyroscope (FOG)-based navigation systems.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of FOG physics and operational principles, as well as expertise in designing and developing high-performance FOGs and related systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop FOGs and associated systems for exceptional performance, reliability, and manufacturability
- Develop and refine manufacturing processes for FOGs with a focus on scalability to large production volumes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and integration
- Analyse test data, identify issues, and implement solutions to enhance FOG performance and reliability
- Stay current with advancements in FOG technology, photonics, and relevant manufacturing techniques
- Contribute to customer-centric approaches by ensuring our FOG technology meets and exceeds customer expectations in demanding applications
- Develop and establish efficient testing protocols for fibre optic coils
- Support the Production Engineering team to develop performance metrics and SPC measures
- Guide the design and development of fibre optic coil-related process tooling
