Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Risk Officer on a non-ongoing basis for six months.

**Position Overview**

**About the Role:**

  • Providing advice, support, and guidance on risk management to stakeholders, including business risk identification, assessment, and mitigation advice, risk workshop facilitation, and assistance in the preparation, implementation, and review of risk management plans.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of the suite of operational risk management framework documentation, including all guidance materials, tools, and templates.
  • Reviewing identified risks and providing advice on adherence with the operational risk management framework.
  • Working with control owners to assist in the development of performance measures and control performance reports.
  • Developing communication products to raise awareness of operational risk management processes and the availability of tools to support internal stakeholders.
  • Identifying risks and issues to support ABF operational areas to respond proactively and constructively to findings and recommendations.

**Required Skills:**

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Sound organisational, negotiation, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to produce documents that require minimal or no revision before finalisation.
  • Understanding of operational risk management processes and quality assurance practices.
