Job Opportunity: Assistant Director of Governance (Risk)
Are you a seasoned leader with expertise in risk management? We seek an experienced professional to join our team and assume strategic leadership of the risk function. Your role will involve oversight of due diligence and audit activities, as well as direct management of corporate risk areas.
About the Role
- Provide strategic leadership of the risk function at the Command level and across Branches/Units
- Oversight, integration and assurance of JLC risk management initiatives
- Direct management of 'second line of defence' corporate risk areas, enabling informed decision-making by Senior Executives
- Driving analysis and initiatives for continuous improvement within the organization

We are part of Joint Capabilities Group, Joint Logistics Command, a critical enabler of Defence capability. Our diverse team spans logistics service delivery, capability program management, and logistics strategy. With over 1,200 staff from APS and ADF, we are complemented by industry partners who contribute to our success.
Key Requirements
- Expertise in developing, implementing and improving risk frameworks, with strong understanding of Commonwealth and Defence governance principles
- Advanced conceptual and analytical skills, excellent writing and interpersonal skills
