Job Overview

The Communications Coordinator role is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of a prestigious cultural institution. As part of a small committed team, you will support communications projects and campaigns that promote the Museum's research and collections, public programs, membership, and enterprise offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of communications strategies to promote the Museum's work and engage audiences.
  • Coordinate social media content across various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Collaborate with staff from across the Museum to create engaging content and identify media angles.
  • Analyze engagement metrics and adjust social media strategies accordingly.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A natural talent for writing and storytelling.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in social media and an understanding of the South Australian media landscape.
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications or a similar field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A keen interest in natural history and the arts.
  • The ability to think outside the box and take on new challenges.
