Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Shift Manager to join our team at our Laverton facility in Melbourne. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the site is operating in a safe, compliant, profitable, and cost-efficient manner while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Deliver a high level of service to customers from the warehouse through to delivery to store across a 24/7 retail logistics operation.
- Cost Management: Monitor and actively manage costs, driving efficiencies and reductions to maximize extraction of value against contract requirements.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a large-sized operational team, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure high performance.
- Operational Planning: Determine hourly, daily, and weekly labor and equipment requirements to meet workloads in line with legal and industrial relations frameworks.
Requirements
- Experience: Extensive experience in a similar role, preferably in logistics, transportation, or a retail logistics environment.
- Qualifications: Qualifications in Logistics Management or a business discipline, and/or equivalent relevant experience.
- Skills: Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to manage a large team and drive results.
