Senior Economist Role

Join a team of experts in economic analysis and strategy. This role involves supporting the delivery of high-quality analysis, research and modelling to inform government decision making and policy development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of high-quality analysis, research and modelling to inform government decisions and policy development
  • Build and maintain macroeconomic and fiscal models
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting
  • Undertake research into areas of interest pertaining to the economy, especially key priority areas for Government
  • Build robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicate results effectively
Qualifications:
  • Hold relevant qualifications or experience in economics
  • Ability to apply economic policy across diverse reform issues
  • Clear communication of complex ideas in various formats
  • Ability to analyse critically and solve problems with evidence
  • Understanding of financial impacts and budget considerations
