Events Coordinator

The City of Parramatta is undergoing a period of unprecedented growth and transformation, offering a unique opportunity to shape the city's future and ensure its sustainability. As an Events Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the Civic Events Team in the development and implementation of the city's civic events and protocol program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support and advice to the Civic Team and council stakeholders in the planning and delivery of events.
- Assist the Civic Team in the planning, implementation, and provision of regular reports on events and functions.
- Support events-related activities in line with Council's guidelines.
- Lead and deliver Council's Australian Citizenship Program.
- Support the delivery of Council's commemorative service program, including ANZAC Day, Remembrance Day, VP Day, and HMAS Parramatta Memorials.
- Support the delivery of Council's Citizen of the Year Awards program.
Requirements:
- At least 18 months of experience in an events administration or supporting role.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and balance competing demands.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and drive successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- A demonstrated ability to identify and address complex challenges with innovative solutions.
