About The RoleNational Intermodal is seeking a Procurement Specialist for a full-time, permanent position based in our Sydney CBD office. Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Procurement, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver procurement strategies, managing market engagements and contract negotiations across a broad range of indirect categories, ensuring high-quality commercial outcomes from suppliers.
What You'll Be Doing- Providing specialist procurement advice, guidance, and commercial support to business stakeholders.
- Reviewing existing business and supplier practices within key categories to develop, articulate, and champion the delivery of tactical improvement initiatives.
- Assisting with the development of Category Plans and Sourcing Strategies.
- Managing discrete sourcing and market engagement activities in support of National Intermodal's organisational objectives.
- Negotiating with suppliers to establish and review supply arrangements that deliver best value.
- Working with the ERP project team to facilitate the implementation, optimisation, and ongoing user-adoption of new technology and system enhancements.
- Degree qualification in a related field or equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience.
- CIPS practitioner qualification highly desired.
- Familiarity with NSW Government or Commonwealth procurement frameworks is desirable.
- Curiosity to analyse cost structures, evaluate financial data, and identify potential financial risks.
- Proven background in collaboratively driving cross-functional teams to deliver on procurement project goals and objectives.
- Self-motivated and highly organised, with demonstrated high-level written and verbal interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail.
