Job Overview

The Mechanical Designer/Drafter will play a key role in our organization, responsible for importing and manipulating vendor drawings/models, producing detailed mechanical drawings/models, exporting equipment/piping quantities, collaborating with Mechanical/Process engineers to deliver plans for construction, and supporting project teams with documentation, revisions, and coordination of drawings/models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Import & manipulate vendor drawings/models.
  • Produce detailed mechanical drawings/models including P&ID's.
  • Export equipment/piping quantities.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical/Process engineers to deliver plans for construction.
  • Support project teams with documentation, revisions and coordination of drawings/models.
  • Establishing & maintaining design templates and drawing standards.

This is a mid-senior level position that offers flexibility and wellbeing, belonging and ownership, parental leave, career growth and development. The ideal candidate will have proficient skills in relevant CAD software, experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design, strong technical knowledge and attention to detail, ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, knowledge of safety in design, constructability, operational practices, and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.
