The Finance Team
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in the finance team by taking ownership of compliance and financial reporting tasks, streamlining month-end close processes, and supporting strategic finance initiatives.
This position is designed to reduce the workload of the Finance Manager, enhance efficiency, and improve the finance team's ability to serve as a business partner across departments.
The Role Involves:
- Month-End Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Preparation and Review of Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Preparation of Annual Financial Statements for the Consolidated Group
- Supporting Requests from External Auditors
- Reviewing all aspects of Tax (GST, Income Tax, Payroll Tax) and other Compliance Reporting
- Business Partnering and Process Improvement
- Preparation of Budgets and Forecasts
- Cash Flow Management
- Governance, Risk Management & Internal Controls
Key Requirements
- CPA or CA Qualification (or working towards completion)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting, preferably in a commercial finance environment at a senior level
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is highly regarded
- Knowledge of Australian Taxation and Compliance Requirements
- Strong Organizational and Analytical Skills with a Proactive Mindset
- Attention to detail and accuracy
