Job Description

This role supports parishes in creating healthy, effective and Christ-centred workplaces. The Parish HR Partner will work closely with regional bishops to ensure sound workplace practices are understood and followed.

The successful applicant will have a strong foundation in human resources, a deep understanding of the Sydney Anglican parish context and the ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships.

The role involves providing strategic and operational HR support to parish leadership teams, developing and driving strategic HR initiatives and addressing systemic issues affecting the effective functioning of parishes.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field and proven experience as an HR generalist in a not-for-profit or faith-based organisation.

They will also have strong knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and knowledge of the structure and operations of the Sydney Anglican Diocese.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field
  • Proven experience as an HR generalist in a not-for-profit or faith-based organisation
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the structure and operations of the Sydney Anglican Diocese
