About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Urban Planner to join our team in Wollongong. As an Urban Planner, you will be responsible for providing technical planning expertise and contributing to multi-disciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage site suitability reports, development applications, and Rezoning Amendments on behalf of clients.
  • Undertake planning-related duties on a range of project types.
  • Provide mentoring and informal guidance to junior level staff.
  • Work effectively with individuals of diverse disciplines to achieve client expectations.
  • Deliver high-quality work in line with Stantec's Core Values and Quality Systems.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in urban planning research, data analysis, and report writing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NSW Planning system and legislation.
  • Experience in statutory and/or strategic planning.
  • Relevant knowledge of Australian standards and legislation.
