Job Description

We are seeking an ambitious researcher to join our team in the Crawford School of Public Policy. The successful candidate will complement and extend existing teaching and research strengths within the Department.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an early- to mid-career researcher to be part of one of the world's leading public policy schools, where you can build your academic career and forge invaluable networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach within our Master of Public Policy (MPP) and Master of Public Administration (MPA) programs
  • Contribute to other educational activities, including executive education
  • Play an important part in the life of the Crawford School through research supervision, administrative/service duties, and participating in public and policy engagement activities
Requirements

The successful applicant will hold a PhD in public policy or cognate discipline in the social sciences, such as political science, economics or sociology. We seek candidates who have familiarity with policy issues in the Asia-Pacific and/or Australia and have an emerging or established research agenda or policy engagement in the region.

Due to our current teaching needs, we are also keen to hear from candidates qualified to teach postgraduate coursework in research design, statistical analysis and related methodological areas.
