Job Title: Patient Support Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our healthcare team as a Patient Support Assistant.

  • This role is critical in ensuring the safety, comfort, and dignity of our patients and staff.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting clinical staff with patient care tasks, such as mobilizing, bathing, and showering.
  • Transferring patients to appointments, procedures, and discharges within the hospital setting.
  • Responding quickly during emergencies and evacuations.
  • Providing support for mortuary services.
  • Utilizing technology to maintain efficient administrative processes.

You will work closely with our friendly team to deliver high-quality services across various clinical and non-clinical areas.

About You

To excel in this role, you must demonstrate:

  • A proven ability to work effectively within a team and follow directions from supervisors.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centred approach in all interactions.
  • The capacity to perform physically demanding tasks safely, including patient handling and transport.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and emergency situations.
  • Desired experience in commercial or industrial cleaning and/or relevant experience working in a healthcare setting.
