Job Description

As a Therapy Assistant at our aged care facility, you will play a vital role in facilitating therapy and lifestyle programs for residents. Your enthusiasm and creativity will be essential in supporting and cultivating the strengths and interests of our residents.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent) and previous experience in a Therapy Assistant role, ideally in an aged care or other healthcare environment. You will be able to communicate clearly with care recipients, families, and team members, both verbally and in writing.

Adaptability and flexibility are key skills required for this role, as every day will bring new challenges and opportunities. You will work independently, but also be part of a collaborative team. The ability to maintain accurate documentation is also crucial.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a Therapy Assistant role, ideally in an aged care or other healthcare environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written formats with care recipients, families, and team members
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
