Lead Program Developer

This role provides leadership in developing and implementing a quality care and education program for young children. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of educational learning experiences through a quality play-based early childhood education program within the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and/or Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG). The program will be designed to prepare children for formal schooling, with a focus on promoting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

The Lead Educator will work collaboratively with fellow educators to support professional development and utilise teaching strategies that provide quality education and care. They will maintain strong understanding of relevant legislation, frameworks, policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance obligations are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a quality care and education program that meets the needs of young children.
  • Lead the delivery of educational learning experiences through a quality play-based early childhood education program.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to support professional development and utilise teaching strategies that provide quality education and care.
  • Maintain strong understanding of relevant legislation, frameworks, policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance obligations are met.
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Diploma level qualification or equivalent as approved by ACECQA.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, drive, and implement quality care and education programs.
Skills and Experience:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, frameworks, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and/or Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).
