Lead Conservation Team

The Team Leader Rangers is a senior management role within the Area, responsible for assisting with the development of strategic operational plans.

This role leads a team of professional Rangers and establishes and maintains industry and community professional relationships.

The Team Leader Rangers must have a broad understanding of all the Area's projects and be able to provide high-level advice and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of professional Rangers
  • Develop strategic operational plans
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with industry and community stakeholders
  • Set clear workplans for the Ranger team
  • Provide high-level advice and support to the Rangers and Area management team

Essential Requirements:

  • A current Australian Class C Drivers licence or equivalent
  • Certification at the appropriate level prior to undertaking firefighting/incident control duties

Job Requirements

This role requires strong leadership, facilitation, and negotiation skills.

Ability to juggle competing priorities to meet deadlines is essential.

High attention to detail and excellent communication skills are required.

Expert project planning skills and discipline to ensure due process are followed.

Sound IT capabilities, particularly in databases, common MS Office software, and some GIS experience are necessary.
