Overview

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join a busy Planning & Environment team in Sydney. In this role, you will work closely with leading practitioners on a broad range of planning and environment matters, including:

  • Land and Environment Court merit appeals
  • Class 4 proceedings
  • Compulsory acquisition
  • Planning agreements

You will have the opportunity to work primarily with development proponents, managing a healthy mix of advisory and litigation matters. This is an exciting chance to join a high-performing team with a market-leading reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Compulsory acquisition
  • Planning agreements
Qualifications
  • Between 5 - 8 years' post-qualification experience in planning and environment law, gained in private practice or an in-house role
  • Excellent technical skills in both advisory and litigation work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high attention to detail
  • A commercial and solutions-focused approach
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a cohesive team environment
