Administrative Support Volunteer
">This role involves providing administrative support to the epilepsy service. You will assist the team in completing tasks, ensuring that the department can deliver services efficiently.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- Work closely with the supervisor to understand key tasks and ensure the epilepsy service is running smoothly.
- Respond to answerphone messages and create a list of patients to contact.
- Contact patients if necessary to confirm their messages.
- Check appointments for patients who call.
- Keep epilepsy alerts up to date.
- Sort and send post to patients.
- Create patient safety information packs for specific age groups.
- Request additional packs from other agencies when stock is low.
- Send specific information to patients, such as anxiety or memory information.
- Assist with various databases, including different patient cohorts, under supervision.
- Contact patients to remind them of appointments.
- Book appointments for epilepsy patients to neurology or the epilepsy clinic.
- Email patients as directed by the supervisor.
- Upload information to Evolve and Medical Records as required.
- Use Careflow to monitor epilepsy patients' admissions and ED visits.
Essential Requirements:
">- Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
- All Volunteers require a DBS check.
- Participation in relevant training and confidential discussion of any reasonable adjustments required.
