Job Title:

Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to work on highly respected specialist consultancy projects with a world-leading reputation in dam engineering.

The successful candidate will have strong initiative, innovation and commitment to technical excellence. They will possess superior verbal and written communication skills, exceptional team spirit and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and schedule projects, define the scope of service and prepare proposals for clients.
  • Evaluate existing topographical terrain and infrastructure information to identify preferred and alternative pipeline routes.
  • Develop pipeline plan and long section drawings using 3D CAD pipeline modelling software.
  • Perform steady state pipeline hydraulic designs and surge analysis for pipeline systems.
  • Perform pipeline peripheral designs related to thrust, thermal expansion, valve and flow meter stations and service crossings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • CPEng / RPEQ certification or eligibility to apply within 12 months of joining.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of specialised experience in pumping and pipeline system engineering designs.
  • Previous knowledge (or aspirations to develop knowledge) in slurry pipeline design for tailings projects.
