The role of the Digital Learning Experience Designer involves collaborating with various departments to create engaging, interactive, and accessible e-learning content for our library. Working closely with Instructional Design, Product Management, and Project Management teams, you will utilize cutting-edge e-learning tools and structured methodologies to develop high-quality educational content that meets the needs of diverse user groups.
Core Responsibilities:
- Course Design: collaborate on designing, developing, and creating engaging, interactive, and learner-centric content. Utilize industry-standard software and digital design techniques to create visually appealing course materials, multimedia elements, assessments, and activities.
- E-learning Tools: use e-learning authoring tools (including proprietary software) to build innovative and accessible courses prioritizing learner experiences. Follow visual design developments, industry trends, and emerging technologies in e-learning and digital design.
- Multimedia Integration: design, develop, and integrate multimedia elements like graphics, motion-graphics, animation, video, and simulations to enhance learning experiences. Ensure content is accessible and responsive across multiple devices.
- User Experience: design with users in mind and develop courses with intuitive and user-friendly interfaces enhancing overall experiences. Conduct accessibility and usability testing, collect feedback for continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement: follow established process standards and procedures, contribute to production improvements.
- Quality Assurance: perform quality assurance checks ensuring accuracy, functionality, and overall quality of content before deployment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A related qualification in Digital Design or a relevant field is desirable.
- Functional experience in Digital Design, preferably as an e-learning content creator with a portfolio showcasing course development, interactive e-learning projects, and/or multimedia content creation.
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Understanding of learning design principles.
