Indigenous Tourism Manager

Cooinda Lodge Kakadu is a unique resort nestled in the heart of Australia's UNESCO World Heritage-listed park. Under a partnership agreement, it offers guests a gateway to explore the region's rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. The lodge provides accommodations including rooms, eco-tents, and camping sites, with amenities such as swimming pools, restaurants, bars, and access to Yellow Water Cruises and the Warradjan Cultural Centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall operations of the Tours division, ensuring high-quality guest experiences through exceptional service delivery and product development.
  • Drive the recruitment, training, and development of tour guides, championing sustainable employment and cultural engagement.
  • Maintain key stakeholder relationships, promoting respectful collaboration and community involvement.

  • Competitive Salary: AUD 79,000 to 89,000 per annum, inclusive of superannuation.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven leadership in high-volume tourism operations, with a passion for Indigenous tourism and cultural interpretation.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in sales, financial planning, and team development.
  • Driver's license mandatory (LR or MR preferable) and Kakadu knowledge highly regarded.
  • H endorsement desirable.
