Skilled Tradesperson Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled tradesperson to fill the role of Machinist/Fitter and Turner. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including fitting, turning, assembling, fault analysis and testing.

Your experience in wielding and grinding will be essential in ensuring tools and parts meet engineering requirements, specifications and tolerances for dimension, shape, contour, location and coordination.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also be required to set up and operate machine tools as needed to accomplish work assignments or operations.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have full qualification as a Fitter/Turner, with the ability to undergo a full security clearance.

The position will initially be on a casual basis, with full time hours (Monday to Friday) and has the potential to become a permanent role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Fitting, Turning, Assembling, Fault Analysis and Testing
  • Experience in wielding and grinding
  • Ensure tools and parts meet engineering requirements, specifications and tolerances
  • Set up and operate any machine tools as required
  • Full qualification as a Fitter/Turner
  • Comply with drug and alcohol testing policy
  • Ability to undergo a full security clearance
